ACCESS Pregnancy and Prolife Services held a Lenten Tour for Life March 30 at its three locations in Metairie, Bywater and Marrero to give visitors “a more intimate look” at the services offered. “Our goal is to get people to focus on life issues,” said Michelle Black, director of Pro-Life Services for Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans. “We want to get people to see our services in action.” ACCESS conducts pregnancy tests and ultrasounds and distributes brochures on abortion risks and alternatives. Staffers say once a woman sees and hears a heartbeat, they usually decide against abortion.
